Freak Ice Storm in Marietta

We were getting the kids ready for bed last night when the ice storm started. The past few weeks I've spent a lot of time with Jayden working on our vegetable garden only to have most of the plant leaves ripped off by the ice storm. Hopefully they will survive the storm but its unlikely.

Julianna's therapist is lending us these stairs for her to practice on. It's a better height than the chair for the kitchen too. IF any one is handy with building we are looking for a platform a few inches taller for her in the kitchen permanently!

Meet the family of birds that are currently residing in our grill! I was very surprised to find them, we had no idea. They have lots of feathers already so hopefully they will be moving out soon. We didn't want to touch any of their nest so were not sure the exact number of babies but we are guessing at least 4.

Jayden was helping water all the plants today. He helped plant them so now he gets to help care for them. He had a great time playing with the hose in the warm weather today.

Here is our little man! He had his 4 year pediatrician appointment and he was so awesome! Last year he cried and pitched a fit just when they tried to weigh and measure him. Today he stood as tall as he good when they measured him and then as still as possible when they weighed him. He answered every questioned that the Dr and nurse had and they were impressed with how smart our little man is! He was telling the Dr all about alligators and what they eat and that it was all part of the food chain! The Dr was also very impressed with how clearly he speaks, she said he is as clear as the 6+ year olds that she sees!
He was so well behaved all day today. He even let me cut his hair off only 6 months ago he was screaming that we were hurting him when we tried to cut it!
This is a picture of him in front of one of our garden boxes (we have to plant in boxes in GA, we have clay not dirt in the ground). He had just finished helping me plant squash, zucchini, and cucumbers. It may not be in perfect rows and some might be to close together but he did an awesome job!
We borrowed Elmosize from Josiah and the kids love it. Here is a picture of Julianna doing some of the exercises along with the movie, and of course Jayden racing his cars around her while she was trying to watch it. It's so funny to watch her dance along to the movie.
Happy Easter 2009!!! We spent the day with Justins family. Uncle Rich, Aunt Linda and cousins Jessica and Josiah.
Jessica hid tons of eggs for the kids to find and they had a blast running and finding them and then of course opening each one to see all the goodies and prizes. Thanks HQ South!

Fernbank Museum and hanging around the house

Julianna found a music box that was mine when I was a little girl. It was a gift from Zena & Matt when they came home from their honeymoon in Europe. I was devastated at the age of 11 knowing my sister wouldn't be sleeping under the same roof as me anymore. I slept with this music box for a long time after it was given to me. Julianna loves to wind it up and dance around the room.

Just a good picture of Jayden and Justin hanging out before dinner was ready one night.

We went to the Fernbank History Museum this past week with some friends. This is Jayden with his friend Alannah, shes a year and half older than him but they seem to get along really well. The kids were really excited about the new dinosaur fossil exhibit that was on display.
