March 2015

Selling Cookies with her Girl Scout Troop! March 1st

Jayden is such a good brother. We had multiple doctors appointments in the same building but spaced throughout the day so we headed to IHOP for an early lunch and to support CHOA (Children's Healthcare of Atlanta).

I bought a mini trampoline and the dog was not happy with it. She doesn't like anything new in the house. So we left her at home to keep an eye on it and went to Skyzone to jump on BIG trampolines! March 5th.

My mom came for a visit and we visited the Margaret Mitchell House. I definitely suggest a visit, nothing much for kids under 10 years old to do though. I loved the toaster oven! March 8th

Panning for gems at Tellus Science Museum - March 9th.

Peking Acrobats at the Cobb Energy Center. Very fun show! - March 12th.
Great show

The dog wouldn't leave Juli's side when she came home from the hospital after knee surgery. Uncle Rich sent Juli a box full of her favorite candy, chocolate bars! - March 16th

Finally feeling a little better. She loves Girl Scouts. She has a great troop too! - March 17th

March 23rd, Definitely feeling better!

My kids love this Art Park. - March 24th

We met up with another family that has a child with Conradi-Hunermann Syndrome and spent some time hanging out at the zoo. It is great to meet with another family that understand the syndrome! March 30th

Fernbank's new exhibit Poison - 3/6/15

There were poisonous dart frogs and other animals that can be deadly if touched or bitten.

 The kids learned about hallucinogens.

Jayden loved the exhibit about the Greeks.

Very cool interactive book!

My mad scientist!

The kids had to solve the mystery and find out what killed a dog and a person.

February fun

Fondue for Valentine's Day! We took advantage of kids eat free at the Melting Pot. The kids took a Valentine for children that are stuck at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (which Juli was there over Valentine's Day only 4 years ago) and they received ENDLESS chocolate fondue for it! Yum!

February 10th
The dog is spoiled with love! She is treated like a child in our house. :)

First time Roller Skating!!!  The kids had a ton of fun with friends.

Julianna was not happy when it was time to leave! She loved it and can't wait till her knee heals so we can start skating again.

The dog even plays board games with the kids! Feb 16th.

Julianna's first year as a Girl Scout. She loved selling cookies. I made her do majority of the work too. Feb 17th

Fieldtrip to learn about the Science Behind Skating. February 26th

Tinker Crates - Animation

We got to create a Zoetrope with this Tinker Crate! These are so much fun!
Get $10 off your own Tinker Crate! Please use the link so Jayden gets credit for it!
I love that we can just look on YouTube if we have an issue with putting one of the kits together. It makes things less stressful for Jayden.
In addition to the main project there is a booklet with every box that has activities and other ideas to learn even!

Snow in February!

We get snow that you can play in every few years. The kids were very excited to get to make a snowman, no matter how dirty he was, have a snowball fight, and make snow angels. It lasted 2 days and then it was all gone.

The William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum 2/4/15

The current exhibit at the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum is Where the Wild Things are by Maurice Sendak. The kids LOVED it! It was neat to see the books we love come alive.
We toured the rest of the museum but it was over Juli's head and Jayden really struggled with the photos. I plan to take them back when they are both older and can understand more.

Set sail on the S.S. Max!

Jayden enjoyed seeing some of his books that we hadn't read yet.

Juli loves every kitchen!
