Is it a solid or a liquid? We love Science lessons in our home especially if it makes a mess!

The kids had fun playing with this messy substance.

1/4 cup of water with 5 tablespoons of corn starch. Mix well and then play. Just remember to scrape it into the trash not the sink! Unless you like clogging your drains!!!!

Clifford at Imagine It Children's Museum 2/13/12

Juli counted down to the opening of this exhibit for weeks! Unfortunately she was sick the first day it opened so we had to push it back a week. She was smiling the whole time! The best part was when Clifford came out, she gave him the best hug! Usually she is not excited about people in these costumes but she couldn't get to him fast enough. She had to go and see him both times that he came out while we were there! We will definitely go visit again while the exhibit is still in Atlanta. So thankful for memberships!

Chattanooga, TN 1/30/12 Juli's birthday trip

Julianna wanted to visit a new children's museum for her birthday so we took a short drive to Chatannooga, TN. Both of the kids loved the museum! They had a number of music rooms, a play stage, dinosaur dig area and an excellent water play area! The kids can't wait to go back.

Since we were in the area we visited the Tennessee Aquarium. It was very nice! Butterfly garden, touch pool, ranger rick talk with birds plus a ton of animals.

Reptile Road Show 1/26/12

Our home school hosted a reptile road show and the kids got to pet snakes, lizards and turtles! I was surprised at how much Juli loved it. I tried to get a picture of Jayden with the sanke but he wouldn't stand still!

Rock Climbing at Escalade! 1/19/12

What a fun and surprising day!

Jayden is terrified of heights but with lots of encouragment and some comments of get over it, he tried! These pictures are of the kid area where they don't need to be harnessed. There was a platform at the top and also a slide to go down.

Julianna shocked me! She loved it and was trying to do to much on her own. Next time we go we are going to see about a full harness for her so she can climb the big wall! I'm crazy right? I can't stop this girl!!!

The Gingerbread Man at the Center for Puppetry Arts 1/10/12

Another great performance at the Center for Puppetry Arts! The kids got to make Gingerbread Men afterward that have feet that spin! Always a fun day for us. a month later and we are all still singing the song! Run, run run, as fast as you can, you can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread man! If you are in the Atlanta area and have never been you are definitely missing out!

Jayden playing with his Science Kit that he got for Christmas from the Beavers. 1/9/12

Jayden got a Science kit for Christmas and loves playing with it. The glasses came with his school Science pack and he insisted he needed them! Safety first!
