Jayden turned 4 last week!

4 years has gone by way to fast! Hes still into animals and history of any kind or time period. His birthday wish was to visit the Fernbank History Museum, the Zoo and the Aquarium! We went to the Aquarium with some friends on his birthday. We plan to go to the Fernbank History Museum next week and then the zoo the following week. We got him a 2 wheeler bike for his birthday but he's not very comfortable using it yet, he prefers the tricycle still.

10 inches!

After having long hair for way to long Justin finally had 10 inches to cut off. Locks of Love will not take hair donations for specific children even if its from mommy or daddy! So we are collecting hair and saving it. I found some places online that will make a wig for Julianna but we will be saving up for quite awhile to buy it. In the meantime we are collecting hair for Julianna. Anything that we won't be able to be used on her wig will be sent to Locks of Love.

Me "Do we color on doors Juli?"
Juli "NO"
Me "Where do we color?"
Juli "on walls"

LOL, yes she actually said no to doors and yes to walls!

I can't update with any new pics this week the computer died for some reason and thankfully it was under warranty so we had to send it back to the company that we bought it from. :(
We visited the aquarium for Jayden's birthday on Tuesday. I can't believe that I have a 4 year old already!! He got a bicycle for his birthday, hes not thrilled about it being so high off the ground but he'll get used to it. He loves to sit in the cul-de-sac and watch the older kids on bikes go off the ramp so I'm sure it won't be long till he is trying to be like them! I'm not ready for that to happen!
He also LOVES a rocket that the Beaver clan got him, I've woken up every morning this week to the sound of him making his rocket blast off!!!
Next Tuesday we are going to the zoo with some friends. The next few weeks are pretty busy for us so I'll post all the pictures as soon as I can.

Julianna got her new glasses today. We are trying to get her used to wearing them when sitting before we let her try walking with them. She loves the case that they came in too. It's a bright pink barbie case with handles to look like a purse. When it closes it makes a loud cracking sound and she had so much fun playing with it. Hopefully she will see better with them and wear them regularly without a fight.
She is still wearing contacts all day, the glasses are just for her to see things up close a little better. Her contact prescription is for distance.

Jayden loves to cut with his scissors and was sitting at the table the other night cutting up paper when he came to show me his giraffe. He was so excited that it really looked like a giraffe!

Jayden did much better at swimming lessons this past week. He still cried about it and didn't want to get in but he still did everything that his teacher said. Hopefully it will just keep getting better for him.

We had planned to have a party for his 4th birthday coming up but Jayden has decided that he does not want any party at all. Just a visit to the aquaruim, zoo and the fernbank history museum. We will be going to the aquarium on the day of his birthday. We are getting him a bicycle and that is all that he's talking about lately. He loves watching the big kids ride in the cul-de-sac in front of our house.




Julianna spilled out some of her yogurt the other day so we ended up getting out some paper and finger painting with yogurt. Hopefully she won't expect to do that every time she eats yogurt!

She loves making excuses to get rescued from bed. Her best request is for hugs or to just go downstairs.

Things have been really crazy with all of her medical stuff lately. Just trying to get everything into order is so overwhelming. We have some followups in April and will hopefully still be in a holding pattern with her spinal surgery. We just don't want to take her ability to walk away just yet. The longer we wait the better, as long as there are no other medical problems appearing.

The kids started swim class this past Saturday. Julianna loved splashing in the water but didn't like when I pulled her away from me.
Jayden had a really hard time with it. He freakied when it was time to get in, for some reason he thinks hes going to sink! His teacher is really nice though and has tons of patience. Hopefully next week will get better for him.





After swim class on Saturday we headed to a birthday party for the kids cousin Josiah. Jayden got to celebrate Josiah's 7th birthday at a martial arts place. I think Jayden will enjoy karate when he is old enough to go.

Julianna is sleeping in a big girl bed!!!!! I don't know if I should be happy or sad. She also picked out some elmo big girl panties this weekend. She tells us when she has to go right now but doesn't go on the toilet that often. We plan to start talking it up more and putting the big girl panties on. We also ordered a new carset this weekend. We got an amazing deal on a one of the safest carseat that we could find! My little girl is growing up so fast! :(





What an exciting day!!!! Huge flakes of snow fell for a few hours but of course it melted as soon as it hit the ground. Jayden had a blast trying to catch the flakes though. We'll have to take him to a ski resort for some snow tubing when he gets a little older.
