November 2, 2014 - While the kids were sad to leave the ship, Justin and I were ready! Disney Cruises are just as crazy as a trip to the parks!
November 3, 2014 - Juli enjoying a new book.
He had just asked if we could go back to the ship instead of doing writing!
My Box Troll! The kids loved the movie and were happy to pull out their box costumes that they made for the literature fair last year.
November 7, 2014 - The puppy missed her boy!
November 10, 2014 - back to reality.
Some days, lessons get a little chaotic!
November 13, 2014 - Dogs are very good listeners during story time! Our dog loves story time and will come running whenever she realizes one of us is about to read out loud.
November 17, 2014 - Science Class with our home school group. They learned about electromagnets.
November 24, 2014 Fernbank Museum of Natural History's special exhibit was on Fear!
Juli has a Fear of Germs! Okay, really I have the fear of germs and I am working hard to give that fear to her!
November 26, 2014 - Justin got a new car! He works so close to home and when we all travel together we take the van so an electric car was the perfect option for him. He loves his Leaf!
Both of the kids were very excited to visit Castaway Cay, Disney's private island, but the day was yucky from the start! The waves were horrible and it took the captain multiple times to get in the dock. Once off the ship, food service started 2 hours late and the wind was horrible! It is a great spot that the cruise line has created, but if the wind is bad, it can make the beach unfun. Thankfully the kids were so excited to check it out, we just cut our time on the beach short. There are multiple food venues on the island that are included in your cruise fare as well as an array of activities!
You can see the waves hitting the breaker and the beach.
Stitch is much cuter in the Caribbean! The line was to long so we waved from a far and moved on. So glad I can still throw Juli on my back!
The adults only area is on the far side of the island. We dropped the kids at camp where they dug up whale bones and played in a splash area while we explored the adult beach.
Once we picked up the kids for lunch we found a wagon so I didn't have to wear Juli and we had somewhere to stash all of our stuff.
Great photo spots throughout the island!
Both kids had seen pictures and videos of this prior to our cruise and were excited to explore it but the wind was crazy and the water was a little chilly than what we like so we skipped it.
My cute kids!
Making friends on the beach! We took our own buckets and shovels. They are sold on the island but we are to cheap for that!
Visiting with Olaf!
On the last day of the cruise the kids participated in a program called Friendship Rocks.
Jayden was enjoying the music and dancing down the isle!
You can see Juli on the right side dancing.
Very few people were back on the ship and we got to spend a few minutes with Minnie Mouse. She really does give some great hugs! So thankful at almost 10 Jayden still loves being a kid and hugging characters. I will be sad when those days are gone. Time really seems to be going too fast!
Julianna enjoying her last Mickey Bar. To celebrate the last night on the ship, I went with 3 desserts! Haha. I told the waiter I couldn't decide and he said he'd surprise me with one. Well, he brought out all 3!
Last round of character visits! Goofy! This picture makes me miss my dad terribly! He was such a goofy guy! He would have loved spending time with my silly kids!
If you want to read more about our Disney Cruise check out my blog posts on the Travel Depot's blog! Think of me when you are ready to book your next vacation!
For a surcharge of $25 per person, adults can dine (with reservations) at Palo.
We enjoyed brunch on our last sea day, and I have to say that this was the best meal I ate while on board the Disney Magic.
This was my first plate.... Yes, there were many that followed! Lots of fresh ingredients as you can see.
Amazing Sticky Buns. There was so much sticky syrup that they were soaking in. YUM~
Our waiter was disappointed that we didn't eat more, so he sent us back to our cabin with a plate full of desserts.
I loved that on deck 4, we were able to walk the whole length of the ship. Only 3 laps around the ship is a mile. They also had shuffle board on this deck.
Beautiful view to enjoy while walking.
After lunch the kids were excited to see treat bags in our cabin!
Juli had a ton of fun dancing with Pluto at a dance party in the lounge.
My cute kids, with Justin spookily appearing in the mirror. Dressed as Phineas, Isabella and Perry!
It was animation night in Animator's Palate. We each received a placemat to draw a character on. At the end of the meal they all came to life on the screens! It was neat to watch.
This was the healthiest appetizer I saw for kids all week! I wish we would have seen it at the beginning of the week because we would have requested it every night.
I saw a Princess Aurora Rocky Road Sundae on one of the other menus and it never showed up on the restaurant that we were dining in. After requesting it two nights in a row our waiter was able to get some for us!
Back to the cabin to see our towel animal.
Great place to have a time change is the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!
We dressed up as characters from Phineas and Ferb.
The characters put on a great show. After a group dance on the stage they mingled with all the guests in the lobby. It got very crazy with everyone trying to get close to them.
Another dance with Pluto! Really, is it possible to hug Pluto to many times in one week?
Goodbye Pluto!
After all the family activities were over, Justin and I headed to the adults only party while the kids played in camp.
My favorite adult costume was a man dressed as the Pillsbury Toaster Strudel.
Jayden was having fun with a game went we picked him up at midnight, he didn't want to leave!
Waiting for an elevator at midnight! What an exhausting and long day!
